AsteriskNOW AsteriskNOW is an open source Software Appliance; a customized Linux distribution that includes Asterisk, the Asterisk GUI, and all other software needed for an Asterisk system. Asterisk is a complete IP PBX in software. DCLinux Distributed Computing Linux (DCLinux) is a small 512MB USB Linux distribution (for use with USB stick flash drives) based on stripped-down Debian Lenny, and has BOINC client installed. Its main purpose is to ease the setup of a dedicated DC machine (often disk-less, bare bones, case-less computers bought solely for the purpose of crunching DC projects) to participate in distributed computing projects. deepOfix Mail Server The deepOfix Mail Server makes it possible for organisations with minimal technical expertise to have robust server infrastructure. deepOfix Messaging Server The deepOfix Messaging Server is a mail server product aimed at simplying the setup and maintenance of GNU/Linux-based mail server solutions. deepOfix offers unprecented ease of use and doesn't require prior GNU/Linux experience. deepOfix features LDAP-based directory services for user account managemet, email delivery, distribution lists, and addressbooks. It also includes built in tools for spam and virus control, webmail, and email fetching. DiscoverStation A Red Hat/Fedora-based Linux distribution for providing secure and user-friendly PCs to the public. Intended for libraries, schools, kiosks, Internet Cafes, business centers. JackLab Audio Distribution A remastered openSUSE for musicians, producers and media creators. JAD will be fully compatible with the recently released openSUSE 10.2. It will contain a full production environment for media production, primarily music. For this, the JackLab team added a Realtime Kernel version 2.6.19 to have fast audio processing with a latency up to 1.5ms. Kevux Kevux is an operating system based mainly on GNU operating programs and a Linux kernel, all compiled with uclibc instead of the more common glibc. It is not FHS or LSB compatible. Compared to other Linux distributions, Kevux is space efficient (making it suitable for USB disk operation) and difficult to hack into. Mandriva Flash Mandriva Flash is a pre-installed Mandriva Linux distribution on a 2GB USB key. Plug in the key, take your Linux system everywhere with you, save and exchange your data in 1GB of free space. Media Exchange The Media Exchange is an MP3 Jukebox appliance that allows: merge music collections, play music and control the player with a browser, organize your music, automatically tag music, and more. Perl/Linux A Linux distribution where all programs are written in Perl. The only compiled code in this Perl/Linux system is the Linux Kernel (not currently built with this project), Perl, and uClibc. PLATYPUX PLATYPUX is a Linux distribution that uses Slackware 12.1 and a "Linux-live" script to boot and compress the system. This lets you install PLATYPUX onto a USB key (or other portable storage device). It includes GCC, Perl, Ruby, Python, JDK 1.6, Linux kernel 2.6.27.6 with PAE support (HIGHMEM64G), squashfs, and aufs support. It also includes Firefox 3 with MPlayer, Java, SVG, and Flash plugins installed, Audacious, Xpdf, Xsane, GIMP, and CUPS. Its graphical interface uses Fluxbox. It automatically saves parameters for each PC, such as Ethernet and sound configuration. It supports installation via USB keys or Portable storage devices in RAID 0. Privatix Live-System Privatix Live-System is a portable encrypted operating system designed to be run directly from a USB flash drive or an external hard drive. QEMU-Puppy QEMU-Puppy is an OS and a set of applications on a USB memory stick. This OS can be booted natively or on top of another already installed OS. Just borrow a PC, boot your own environment, and return the PC unaffected. Uruzuki Linux Uruzuki GNU/Linux is a virtual distribution, meaning that there aren't ISO images for installation via CD. It is a complete distribution that resides on an Internet repository. Its applications can be installed on a new minimal Debian system. The software in Uruzuki Linux is the same as that included in uzklive, its live port.
