CiviCRM is an open source and freely downloadable customer relationship management (CRM) solution. However, CiviCRM LLC, its developer, sees CiviCRM as a constituent relationship management solution, replacing the word customer to more accurately describe the relationships of non-profit organizations and advocacy.
This software records and manages information about the human capital of an organisation. It is essentially a powerful contact database with fundraising and a eCRM system.
This software is web-based and targeted to meet the needs of advocacy, non-profit and non-governmental groups. CiviCRM is released as a module that runs within Backdrop CMS, Drupal, Joomla! or WordPress.
