Comical - comic book reader

Comical is a portable CBR and CBZ comic book viewer written in C++ using wxWidgets.

It supports multiple image formats and uses high-quality image scaling algorithms to fit pages onscreen.

The software is released under an open source license.

Features include:

Intuitive interface.
Full-Screen mode.
Single-Page or Double-Page display modes.
Several zoom modes – Fit, Fit-to-Width, Fit-to-Height, Original, and Custom.
Crisp image scaling with algorithms adapted from the FreeImage project.
Autodetects double pages scanned together and displays it accordingly.
Prefetches and caches pages for speed and responsiveness.
Page rotation.
Left-to-Right or Right-to-Left browsing.
Displays JPG, GIF, TIFF, and PNG images.
Supports RAR(.cbr) and ZIP(.cbz) comic book archives including password protected files.
Supports all encrypted RAR archives as well as ZIP archives with pkzip 2.04g encryption.
Google Local style scrolling.
Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows operating systems.
