NoteCase – web-based OLAP reporting application

NoteCase is a hierarchical note manager.

It helps users organize everyday text notes into a single document, with individual notes placed in the tree-like structure (each note can have its sub-notes).

To ensure your privacy an encrypted document format is supported along with a standard unencrypted one.

Features include:

  • Rich format editing with support for embedded images.
  • Unencrypted and encrypted document formats supported.
  • Export document or nodes to another document, text or html file.
  • NoteCenter unencrypted format supported (reading/writing).
  • Multiple text node operations are supported (moving up/down/…).
  • Import gjots2, StickyNotes, MM/LX Mindmap/Outline document formats.
  • Undo/redo.
  • Custom font settings.
  • Document searching.
  • Reloading last used document at startup.
  • Maximizing on startup.
  • Text wrapping option.
  • Multilanguage support.
  • Reload document from file.
  • Minimize to tray.
  • Support to attach internal or custom icon (.xpm) to the each document node.
  • Support for drag and drop for tree reordering.
  • Document search & replace.
  • Node keywords feature, search by keyword.
  • Hyperlink support, you can create internal (point to some document node) or external links (point to external file), link can be placed on the document node or on the node’s text branch copy/paste.

  • Command line flags to allow automatic (batch) export of Notecase.
  • Documents to HTML and other formats.
  • Recursive export option, export of all linked .ncd documents as a set of linked .html files when exporting to html (also with “–export-links” command line flag).
  • Insert current date/time into the current cursor position.
  • Rich text formatting: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough,  color.
  • Insert image in the document.
  • Attach files to the document nodes.
  • Drag and drop files to text view or attachment dialog list to create node attachments.
