ARAnyM is an acronym: Atari Running on Any Machine. It is a 32-bit Atari computer clone.
Specifically, it is a virtual machine software for running the Atari ST/TT/Falcon operating systems (TOS, FreeMiNT, MagiC and others) and TOS/GEM applications.
The reason for writing ARAnyM is to provide Atari power users with faster and better machines. The ultimate goal is to create a new platform where TOS/GEM applications could continue to live forever.
ARAnyM provides both ST-RAM and FastRAM (sometimes also called TT-RAM). ST-RAM size is always 14MB. FastRAM size is adjustable from 0 up to 4GB.

- MC68040 compatible CPU (including optional MMU!)
- MC68881 compatible FPU.
- JIT Compiler for CPU and FPU (speeds up CPU+FPU up to 10x!)
- ST-RAM 14 MB.
- Fast-RAM configurable 0-3824 MB.
- Host accelerated fVDI graphics (large highcolor/truecolor resolutions).
- Access to Host OS filesystems using BetaDOS or MiNT native XFS driver.
- Ethernet networking via host using MiNT-Net XIF driver.
- TOS 4.x XBIOS compatible with Atari Falcon DMA Sound (16-bit 48 kHz stereo sound).
- Parallel port (bidirectional).
- MFP, IKBD, ACIA, VIDEL, BLITTER, FDC, IDE, DSP MC56001.
- Atari floppy DD/HD for connecting floppy image or real floppy drive.
- Two IDE channels for connecting disk images, hard drives or CD-ROMs.
- Extended keyboard and mouse support (including mouse wheel).
- Native CD-ROM access.
- Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Irix, Solaris, FreeMiNT, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Windows.
