Summary
While we are big fans of rsync, many users get bamboozled by all the available options. Grsync does what a good GUI backup tool should do. It removes a lot of the complexity by turning endless command-line options into a concise collection of check boxes.
There are lots of nice touches in the program. For example, by accessing File / Rsync command line the software tells you the actual rsync command that’ll be run.
Grsync is a good tool for synchronizing large data stores. We are using it regularly to backup our huge photo collection across our network.
If your data has value to you, making regular backups is a necessity. That practice is not, in itself, sufficient to protect your data. You actually need to test the backups to make sure they actually work.
Backup software should provide multiple options for restoring your data, including restoring to its original location or a different location under your control.

An old favorite. I love the feature to get the plain rsync code for the Grsync config.
