In Operation
Here’s an image of Haruna showing a video. Playback is silky smooth.
Playlists are one of the core features of the video player. Things get interesting when the mouse pointer is placed over the right side of the window. A playlist panel slides out listing other video files in the same directory. That’s right, the software has created an automatic playlist.
Another key strength of the program is its smart navigational ability. There’s options to seek small steps forward/backward, medium steps forward/backward, and big steps forward/backward. We can also seek to the next/previous subtitle and chapter. There’s keyboard shortcuts for each. There’s also the ability to move one frame forward/backward then pause. And there’s the option to attach external subtitles. We can even auto-skip based on specific words in the subtitles.
We can control the playback speed, take screenshots from the video, and make colour adjustments.
