Other Features of the software
The software saw its first public release in March 2017, and it’s under active development.
I created an account with Headset although this isn’t essential to use the software.
There’s two themes available: original and dark. The language setting defaults to German, although none of the text is displayed in German. You can choose from German, English, or Spanish languages. There’s the option to show alerts when a new song is playing.
- One click integration with Last.fm, a popular music website.
- Cloud syncing.
- Media keys.
- Data, credentials, and cookies are transmitted over a secure SSL connection.
- Video player automatically sizes to the window.
- Search playlists using the YouTube ID or URL.
- Cross-platform support: Available for Linux (Debian/Ubuntu, Red Hat), macOS, and Windows.
- Additional functionality with Pro version.
If you’re a fan of keyboard shortcuts, you’ll be a mite disappointed. And there’s no SoundCloud integration. Hopefully these will be added in a future release.
