I, Librarian is a free and open-source web app to build an annotated library of scientific PDF articles, optimized for individual users and collaborative groups, like research labs or departments.
With this software, individuals or groups build a local web site with a practical environment to work with PDF files. Additionally, users gain an advanced tool to mine scientific literature from PubMed, PubMed Central, NASA ADS, arXiv, IEEE Xplore, and HighWire Press. It provides an intelligent PDF import mechanism, and supports BibTeX as well as PDF and RTF annotations.
I, Librarian includes other open-source software: Xpdf, Poppler, jQuery, jQuery UI, jQuery Mobile, jQuery Form, jGrowl, Tipsy, jQuery File Tree, jCrop, jQuery.clickNScroll, jQuery Hotkeys, jPlayer, TinyMCE, Plupload, Bibutils, Ghostscript, Pdftk, and Inno Setup.
