Summary
WallpaperDownloader is a configurable utility that offers a good range of features.
We’re not fans of the Java interface, its widgets and interface feels clunky compared to say Qt. And the implementation could be improved. For example, updating fields shouldn’t really require clicking an edit button first. But that’s a minor criticism.
We’ve already featured a wallpaper manager in the Linux Candy. Variety supports different desktops and wallpaper sources, including local files and online services: Flickr, Unsplash, and more.
