No self-respecting music player comes without lyrics functionality. We all like to sing along with music. Well I do at least.
Press F4 to access the lyrics functionality. The image below shows the lyrics for Madonna’s Ray of Light. Lyrics are automatically fetched by the software.
ncmpy offers a bonny wee touch. The lyrics of the next line to be sung are highlighted in yellow. Handy if you get distracted.
There’s the option to save the lyrics of a song to a file. And you can toggle the lyrics so they’re auto-centered.
Unlike Cantata, there’s no option to configure different lyrics providers. Instead, ncmpy pulls the lyrics from Qianqian.
