Memory Comparison
According to the excellent ps_mem memory utility, QMPlay2 uses about 140MB of RAM when playing our test HD video file.
The chart below shows QMPlay2 pitted against other popular video players. As you can see, it’s one of the lightest video players in terms of memory usage.
The test involved playing the same high definition video file. The memory usage of SMPlayer includes the mpv process.
