Quoter – The Console Based Stock Quote Tool

Last Updated on March 24, 2022

Summary

Quoter is a fairly useful tool although it falls way short of our preferred command-line stock programs in terms of functionality and coverage. We recommend using mop and tickrs.

You would not want to use Quoter as a ticker program with a free IEXCloud account. The 50,000 monthly credits would be consumed very quickly. But if you have a paid account, you get at least a 10 fold increase in credits.

We’re not fans of CLI software that proclaim the version number and author on every evocation. It represents a waste of screen estate.
