TEAMGROUP are an emerging brand in the consumer SSD market. They provided a review sample for the QX 2TB SSD for review and testing. The QX SSD is available in 512GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB sizes.
All of the QX SSDs are backed by a three year warranty and the 2TB drive we tested is rated for 690TBW endurance. The drive has a rated maximum read speed of 540 MB/s, and sequential write speed of 490 MB/s. It uses the SATA III 6Gb/s interface.
The SSD uses Yeestor’s YS9082HP SSD controller. The YS9082HP is a high-reliability, high-performance SSD controller with a four-channel design supporting 400 MT/s and four CEs.
The QX 2TB supports single-level cell (SLC) caching, a sophisticated technique used for write caching on SSDs. In essence, part of the main memory is devoted to act like SLC. This is commonplace on inexpensive SSDs.
