Here’s an image of Translate Shell in action. It’s running in brief mode, which shows only the most relevant translation, and with the interactive translate shell. The shell has translated text written in Japanese, Spanish, German, and French into English. There’s support for lots more languages too.

There’s a useful dictionary function. In the image above, we’ve entered the interactive shell, and typed casa. As the image shows, the word “casa” means home or house in English.
