QasTools is a collection of Qt desktop applications for the ALSA sound system. Rather than offering a single mixer interface, the project provides three related programs covering everyday mixing, ALSA’s high-level control interface and inspection of the ALSA configuration tree.
QasMixer is the component most users will recognise as a conventional graphical mixer. QasHctl exposes ALSA’s high-level controls, while QasConfig provides a graphical view of the configuration tree. The applications share a consistent Qt interface and provide considerably more direct access to ALSA than mixers designed primarily around PulseAudio or PipeWire.
This is free and open source software.
